Becoming a Ski Patroller – the process

  1. Contact Candidate Training Advisor: For detailed information and next steps, contact the candidate training advisor at Joinus@centralskipatrol.org
  2. Skiing Review: Your skiing or snowboarding skills will be assessed to ensure you can confidently transport injured persons down the mountain.
  3. Outdoor Emergency Care Education: Receive training in outdoor emergency care to become a qualified first responder on the mountain.
  4. Toboggan Training: Undergo comprehensive toboggan handling training to safely transport injured guests down the slopes.

the whole process takes about a season, and then you’re a full Alpine Patroller!
